About Kia
Designing Robust and Engaging Learning
I design robust and engaging learner-centered learning experiences by carefully analyzing prior knowledge, interests, abilities, cultural inferences, learning environment, and potential challenges.
My learning philosophy is that all learners can learn and are inherently intrinsically motivated to learn when learning activities activate prior knowledge to support information processing for meaningful encoding, storage, and retrieval of information into long-term memory.
I hold a Master of Education degree in Learning, Design, and Technology from USC and a demonstrated history working in higher education, educational technology, and the healthcare industry, possessing strong learning and development, training, instructional design, project and program management, evaluation, and strategic planning skills.
